This study explores the role of community-based health workers (CBHWs) in addressing adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health needs in rural Zambia. Through 14 in-depth interviews, CBHWs discussed their experiences and perceptions. They navigate dual roles as both community members and health professionals, serving as educators, service providers, advocates, and reporters of sexual violence. The findings suggest that CBHWs play a vital role in bridging gaps in adolescent SRHR services but face challenges in balancing their roles. Further research is needed to enhance their effectiveness in this role.
