This study explores a new service model where Community Health Workers (CHWs) support older Latino adults with hearing loss through teleaudiology. Researchers interviewed participants about their experiences 17 weeks after receiving hearing aids. Of the 28 participants, 19 were interviewed. Both groups, with and without CHWs, reported positive experiences with teleaudiology and hearing aids despite facing barriers to care. Participants in the CHW group highlighted the patient-centered approach of their interactions. The findings suggest that trained CHWs can effectively facilitate teleaudiology services for hearing aid users.
