Hypertension or raised blood pressure is a leading risk factor for mortality. This study in western Kenya investigated the efficiency of community health workers in utilizing behavioral communication strategies and smartphone technologies to improve the linkage of individuals with raised BP to a hypertension program. It also looked at the ability of the program to significantly reduce BP.
