The Cosecha network in Florida was established to address the inequities faced by Latinx farmworker communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a partnership with Alianza Americas and local organizations, 73 promotores de salud were trained to provide culturally and linguistically relevant health information. These promotores conducted educational campaigns, facilitated access to testing and vaccinations, and built a statewide network across 21 counties. By utilizing testimonial media and mobilizing vaccine partners, the Cosecha project successfully reduced COVID-19 transmission, increased vaccination rates, and addressed unique challenges faced by farmworker communities.
