Global Health Security (GHS) is a critical issue impacting health, economies, and societies worldwide. Strengthening GHS requires investment in health systems, infrastructure, and collaboration across nations. This study used various methods to assess Rwanda’s approach to improving GHS. Key efforts include merging 14 health institutions to create the Rwanda Biomedical Centre, training 60,000 community health workers to support universal healthcare, and leading initiatives to strengthen GHS nationally, regionally, and globally. The findings emphasize the need for multisectoral cooperation and increased investment, especially in Africa, to improve GHS and pandemic preparedness.
