This program in Missouri added community health worker (CHW) training to pharmacy technicians to help improve vaccination rates. In just six months, it showed promising results, including better vaccine coverage, increased pharmacy revenue, and lower healthcare costs. Pharmacy staff found the program helpful, especially the training and support provided. The main challenges were staff shortages and low patient turnout. Overall, the program fit well into pharmacy routines and showed it can help more people get vaccinated when properly supported.
