Yellow fever surveillance is key for spotting outbreaks early, but in Cameroon’s North West Region, Community Health Workers (CHWs) play a limited role in this process. From 2021 to 2024, out of 427 suspected cases, only 8 were reported by CHWs, showing just 2% community involvement. This low rate points to the need for better CHW integration, training, and support to strengthen community-level monitoring and improve yellow fever outbreak response in the region.
