This study explores the challenges and support systems for community health workers (CHWs) serving Latinx families in metro Atlanta, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through interviews, CHWs identified barriers and strategies to address clients’ needs. The study highlights the importance of removing structural barriers, prioritizing cultural assets, and implementing flexible work policies to support CHWs and improve outcomes for vulnerable communities. The findings underscore the need for a multifaceted approach to improve working conditions and promote health justice, offering insights for organizations supporting CHWs nationwide.
