This study tested a program to help Chinese immigrant livery drivers at high risk for lung cancer get screened. Many smoke and are exposed to harmful substances at work. The program used community health workers (CHWs) to educate and guide them, compared to just giving written information. Only 25 people joined out of over 1,000 approached, with challenges including COVID-19, mistrust, and beliefs about smoking. The study found that more community and provider education is needed to improve lung cancer screening in this group.
