The monitoring and evaluation of interventions is critical to ensure their effectiveness. Mobile phone-based methods can help to assess the success of interventions, but understanding their implementation as an evaluation tool lacks validity. Community health workers in Mali providing integrated community case management and family planning took a survey to evaluate the validity of a mobile phone-based method to assess their program. Researchers found that the mobile phone-based evaluation method was valid and could be used for future data collection to monitor and evaluate interventions.
